Big Energy Saving Winter is a national campaign organised by Citizens Advice, Energy Saving Trust and the Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy to help you cut your energy bills and get the financial support you’re entitled to.
Winter can often be problematic for fuel-poor households across the nation. The impact of a national lockdown during the winter months has resulted in an even higher increase in our domestic energy consumption and consequently higher energy bills. As many of us embrace the new ‘normal’ of working from home or find ourselves isolating inside, the heating is on more than usual, kitchen appliances are being used more often and we are more reliant on other electricals meaning our home energy usage is up higher than ever before.

The Green Homes Grant can provide vouchers worth up to two-thirds of the cost of upgrading the energy efficiency of your home. If you apply for a Green Homes Grant but need support to fully fund the works, we may be able to help with a GHG ‘top-up’ loan.
The Warm Home Discount is a Government scheme offering a discount to eligible households towards their winter electricity bill between now and 31 March 2021. If you’re eligible you could get up to £140 off your electricity bills this winter.
