Emma’s leadership has been instrumental in expanding Lendology CIC’s reach and influence. Under her guidance, the organization has engaged in discussions with over 40 local councils, paving the way for new and impactful partnerships. This has resulted in a remarkable 166% increase in our reach, a testament to Emma’s ability to drive growth and positive change. 

A Commitment to Carbon Neutrality: 

Emma’s commitment to reducing carbon emissions is at the core of her leadership. Lendology CIC proudly became one of the first lenders in the UK to achieve carbon neutrality. However, Emma’s ambition doesn’t stop there. Recognizing that a significant portion of the UK’s carbon emissions originate from homes, she has envisioned a future where everyone has access to public funding for retrofitting their homes. Her tireless efforts to understand the complexities of the retrofit market and advocate for change at the governmental level are truly inspiring. 

Collaboration and Knowledge Sharing: 

Emma’s dedication to her work extends beyond Lendology. She actively collaborates with fellow Community Development Finance Institutions through organizations like the Responsible Finance and the Green Finance Institute. Her commitment to continuous improvement and knowledge sharing ensures that sustainable investment practices are spread across the sector, benefitting not only Lendology but also the wider community. 

Aligning with Sustainable Development Goals: 

In 2023, as part of her mission within Lendology CIC, Emma played a pivotal role in the release of our Community Impact Report. This report outlines her mission to align our organization’s growth with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals. Initiatives such as the “Buy Local or Social” procurement policy and car-sharing incentives are just a few examples of how Emma is committed to reducing our carbon footprint and contributing to a more sustainable future.
