Why Local Councils Choose Lendology

Local councils are crucial partners in our mission to make homes safer and more sustainable. Councils are using our loan schemes to improve the energy efficiency of homes and reduce carbon emissions.

By partnering with Lendology, councils are able to make the most of their budgets. Every loan repayment is recycled, creating a circular economy where funds are reinvested to help even more homeowners. This allows local authorities to make a meaningful, long-term impact without stretching their resources.

Measuring Our Impact

At Lendology, we believe in the power of data to demonstrate the tangible impact of our work. In 2023, we introduced a Carbon Reductions page in our Social Impact Report to track the carbon savings achieved through our loans. Working with the Centre for Energy Equality, we’ve developed tools to accurately measure our environmental impact, providing transparency to our customers and partners.

By continually monitoring and refining our efforts, we aim to drive even greater impact in the coming years, helping more homeowners reduce their carbon footprint and achieve their energy-efficiency goals.

Looking Ahead: A Sustainable Future for All

As the UK’s first carbon-neutral personal lender and a certified B Corp, Lendology is proud to lead the way in responsible finance. But there’s still much more to be done. In 2025, we’re excited to expand our loan schemes and partner with even more councils to ensure that homes across the UK are energy-efficient, safe, and healthy.

We are also committed to raising awareness of the Community Development Finance Institutions (CDFI) sector, collaborating with other organisations to ensure that responsible finance reaches as many people as possible.
