We are excited to announce our upcoming workshop, “Lendology’s B Corp Journey,” which will shed light on the incredible world of Certified B Corporations and the transformative impact they can have on businesses, team members, and customers. Whether you’re a small organisation with a limited budget or a larger company exploring B Corp certification, this workshop is tailored for you. Join us on November 7, 2023, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at Deane House, Taunton, to embark on this meaningful journey towards social and environmental responsibility.
What is a B Corp?
Certified B Corporations, or B Corps, are businesses that meet rigorous standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability. We are part of a global movement of companies dedicated to making a positive impact on people and the planet. With 1,500 B Corps in the UK, including well-known names like Body Shop and Patagonia, the B Corp certification is a mark of distinction that can benefit organisations of all sizes.
About the Workshop:
During the workshop, you’ll hear from our team members: Emma Lower, our Chief Executive; Ellie Lister, our Operations Director; and Anna Osborne, our Commercial & Finance Director. They all played instrumental roles in guiding Lendology on its B Corp journey. They will share their experiences, challenges, and successes as a small organisation with a limited budget that achieved B Corp status and became Certified Carbon Neutral. Their inspiring stories will showcase how B Corp certification can transform your business.
Meet the Speakers:
Emma Lower – As our Chief Executive, Emma brings a wealth of experience from managing large teams in multinational organisations. Her leadership was instrumental in guiding Lendology to achieve B Corp and Certified Carbon Neutral status. Emma’s dedication to social and environmental responsibility has earned her recognition, including Wise 100 Awards and a Westcountry Women Award nomination in 2023.
Ellie Lister – Ellie played a crucial role in leading Lendology’s team towards B Corp certification. Her commitment to finding solutions for partners and clients has been a driving force behind our mission to create a more sustainable financial landscape. Ellie oversees all of Lendology’s operations, ensuring they align with social and environmental responsibility values.
Anna Osborne – Anna embodies the vision of inclusivity and supportiveness that drove our journey to B Corp status. In 2023, she achieved Lendology’s Fair Tax Accreditation, further enhancing our commitment to being clear, fair, and not misleading in our financial practices.
