At Lendology, we’ve always believed in the transformative power of lending. Today, we’re excited to announce a significant step forward in our commitment to making a positive impact to our local community. In line with our values and dedication to healthy homes, we are proud to announce that we have donated 10% of our annual profits to the Centre for Sustainable Energy this year.
Lendology CIC is not your typical lender. As a B Corp and Social Enterprise lender regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority, we take a unique approach to finance. Our mission goes beyond lending, as we aim to create a world where finance can change lives, enrich homes, and build a greener, more sustainable future.
In partnership with local councils, Lendology provides finance to homeowners for a range of home repairs, improvements, adaptations, energy efficiency, and renewable technology measures. We believe that everyone deserves access to clean, affordable energy solutions, regardless of their circumstances.
Why the Centre for Sustainable Energy?
The Centre for Sustainable Energy (CSE) is a distinguished non-profit organisation with a strong history in delivering free, impartial advice to a broad range of people across Lendology’s community. Their team are dedicated to providing solutions that make a tangible difference in people’s lives. Their unwavering commitment aligns seamlessly with our own mission to create a greener, more sustainable future.
By supporting CSE, we’re not just contributing to a cause, we’re actively participating in addressing critical environmental issues, championing energy efficiency, and making strides in alleviating fuel poverty. We believe in their ability to affect real change, and we’re proud to stand with them in this collective endeavour. Together, we can drive meaningful progress and pave the way for a brighter, cleaner world.
Emma Lower, CEO at Lendology, said: “Having worked across the West of England for over 40 years, the Centre for Sustainable Energy’s reach and impact has grown year-on-year, and I am delighted to have worked alongside them in the South West to support our local communities live in homes which are warm and efficient to heat. With the compounded impact of the cost of living and energy crises, this winter is going to be much tougher for many more people, and it is critical that the third sector works together to ensure the right help is delivered at the right time. Their latest service, Retrofit West, will see the CSE offer advice in the renewable energy space and me and the team at Lendology are keen to support the development of the local supply chain and uptake of items such as solar panels and batteries for a cleaner South West”.
Fuel Poverty Awareness Day
We’re thrilled to time the release of this exciting news to coincide with Fuel Poverty Awareness Day. This day is dedicated to raising awareness and finding solutions for everyone impacted by fuel poverty. Lendology proudly stands alongside organisations like the National Energy Action and the Centre for Sustainable Energy in combating fuel poverty.
Our Commitment to a Greener Future
Our pledge to donate 10% of our annual profits to the Centre for Sustainable Energy is just one step in our broader vision for a greener, more sustainable world. This means that for every pound we earn in profit, ten pence will directly contribute to the invaluable work of the Centre for Sustainable Energy. We’re dedicated to working towards a future where clean energy, environmental preservation, and social responsibility are at the forefront of everything we do.
