We signed up to the Kickstart Scheme during the summertime and recruited our newest team member, Daisy, as our Communications Assistant.
“The Kickstart Scheme appealed to me as I wanted a complete career change and to be able to join somewhere where I could learn on the job and not necessarily have any previous experience. My new role is heavily focused on looking after the social media platforms and promoting the organisation via digital channels. I have also been learning about how to support customers through the application process, and general business administration skills.
Starting my new role was scary, as it usually is for everyone starting a new job. However, I was very excited and keen to see what working for Lendology is like, and it’s fair to say, it’s fantastic and very enjoyable. I can easily envisage this job having very rewarding career prospects, which is exciting.”
This scheme is a fantastic way to get your foot in the door of an industry that you are interested in, or even something you might not have ever considered. Usually, full training will be given by the employer, regardless of qualifications or experience, and you could learn a wide range of new skills, giving you strong prospects for a future career.
To be eligible to join the Kickstart Scheme, applicants will need to be on Universal Credit and able to show a keen willingness to learn and develop skills. Before starting in your new role, you will be guided by a Work Coach from the Department of Work & Pensions. Head over to the Gov.UK website for more details and to find out if you’re eligible:
