Proud winners of an APSE Service Award 2022

September 20 2022

We are thrilled to announce that Lendology have been recognised as a winner at the annual Association for Public Service Excellence Awards!

Lendology, in association with its South West council partners, won the ‘Best Public/Private Partnership Working Initiative’ award run by the Association for Public Service Excellence (APSE).

Partnerships are key to the success of Lendology and we are thrilled to have been recognised for our consistent and collaborative partnership approach.  To cement our commitment to public sector partnerships, we also sponsored the ‘Best Collaborative Working Award’.

The Association for Public Service Excellence (APSE) is owned by its members and, working on their behalf, maintains and develops a network of local government officers, managers and councillors from local authorities across England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales.

Working on a not-for-profit basis, APSE is dedicated to promoting excellence in the delivery of frontline services to local communities around the UK. Through the extensive APSE network, more than 300 local authorities and organisations are able to share information and expertise on vital frontline services, ask for advice and innovative solutions, and develop new, viable ways forward in an effort to help one another.

Our CEO, Emma Lower, said: “In our first year as members of APSE, we felt that it was important to support those organisations that strive to be the best across the public and private sector.  Having overcome many challenges that the pandemic had on organisations, communities, and people, it is important to take time out to recognise excellence.  We are thrilled to have been name the winner of our Award category at the Ceremony, and extend our congratulations to all finalists and winners revealed on the night”.

Speaking about the awards, Paul O’Brien, APSE Chief Executive, said, “This year we received an overwhelming number of submissions for the Awards, with each one demonstrating a clear commitment to the goals of continuous improvement and the delivery of excellence in public services. From parks to school meals, from collecting bins to caring for older people, it is a real honour to recognise the fantastic work local councils do at the frontline. Today is their day.”

The APSE Service Award 2022 are specific to frontline services provided by UK local authorities and the winners are agreed by a panel of expert judges. This year, the Awards included 22 categories, covering the vast majority of local services.

The winners were announced at the APSE Annual Charity Awards Dinner, in aid of Parkinson’s UK, on Thursday 15 September 2022 at the Swansea Arena. The ceremony took place at the end of the APSE Annual Seminar 2022.

We congratulate all winners and finalists at the Awards!
