He spoke to Somerset West and Taunton Council and found out about their scheme with Lendology CIC, which would allow him to borrow the money to be able to complete his project.
He worked closely with Lendology adviser Martine, saying “the service at a bank isn’t how it used to be, you don’t have a relationship with the bank manager like you once did, but the personal touch from Lendology was a warm and valuable feature. With such a big and changing project I was so grateful to know there was an adviser at the end of the phone”.
After three years, the building is now a stunning revival, sympathetically converted and showcasing its beautiful barn-style features. Being on the main road through the small town, it is a new life to a once tired and empty site.
