Paddy is a homeowner in Cornwall who had been managing with an older gas boiler for several years. Over time, it became less reliable, and he knew it would need replacing.
“We were having issues with the boiler, it was pretty old and ropey, so I knew it was time for a change.”
Looking ahead, Paddy began to explore what options might be available to improve his heating system.
“I was trying to get by year-by-year with an old gas boiler.”
Keen to make a longer-term change, he considered alternatives that would allow him to move away from gas.
“I thought if I could do away with the gas altogether…”
After being introduced to Lendology through Cornwall Council, Paddy explored what support might be available to help fund the improvements.
With a new system in place, Paddy describes the difference it has made to how he uses his home.
“Anything financial that we don’t have to worry about anymore is a good thing isn’t it.”
“My carbon footprint is vastly reduced… it’s good for the environment, so yeah, it does make you feel a little bit better inside.”
For Paddy, the improvements have helped make his home more efficient and better suited to his needs.
