Lending Done Differently

Our Social Impact

Our 2025/26 Social Impact Report looks beyond the numbers to explore what responsible finance has made possible for people, homes and communities.

Through customer experiences and measurable outcomes, it shows the difference behind the lending – from warmer, safer homes and improved wellbeing to greater independence and greener homes.

The loan is not the impact. It's what the finance makes possible.

Behind every loan is a person hoping to make their home safer, warmer or better suited to their needs. In 2025/26, we supported 388 homeowners with £4.52 million in home improvement lending, saving an estimated 165.8 tonnes of CO₂e in 2025/26. Our Social Impact Report tells the story behind those numbers, exploring what changed for people once the work was done – from feeling warmer and more comfortable at home to improved wellbeing and fewer worries about energy bills.

Greener, Warmer Homes

Improving the energy efficiency of homes has become an increasingly important part of our work. Through responsible, council-backed finance, we help homeowners access funding for improvements that can make their homes warmer, more comfortable and more energy efficient, while reducing concern about energy costs and supporting lower carbon emissions.

Safer, Healthier Homes

Essential repairs cannot always wait. Through responsible, council-backed finance, we help homeowners invest in improvements that can enhance their properties, making them more comfortable, practical and better suited to their needs.
