Supporting local authorities to encourage local investment in private sector housing

We have been lending funds on behalf of councils since 2005. We lend to homeowners, landlords and empty property owners.

We give councils a fully managed, FCA-regulated way to use public funding to help improve housing, support resident wellbeing, bring empty homes back into use and advance local domestic retrofit priorities.

Working together for better homes

Our partnerships help public funding go further – supporting better private sector housing and delivering positive outcomes for local communities.Through responsible, council-funded lending, we help homeowners access finance for essential repairs, improvements and measures that can make homes warmer, safer and more sustainable.Working with Lendology can help councils to:
  • Create a recyclable fund that can support more residents over time
  • Signpost residents to free support and services first
  • Improve private sector housing standards
  • Support residents’ health, wellbeing and independence
  • Increase access to energy efficiency improvements
