Jan moved into her home around five years ago, but one thing quickly became a source of concern – an oil-fired heating system. Keeping track of the oil levels, and the risk of running out, meant she was often unsure whether the house would stay warm and comfortable.
Looking for a more reliable way to heat her home, Jan began exploring what options might be available.
After discovering a home improvement initiative supported by Cornwall Council, she was introduced to Lendology and supported through the process by a dedicated case manager.
Jan chose to replace her oil heating with an air source heat pump. Since having the work completed, she describes the difference that consistent heating has made in her home.
“It is a cleaner way of heating the home and a very positive investment for the property itself. The fact that there is constant hot water, it will work really well with the underfloor heating, which is really positive.”
Reflecting on her experience, Jan highlights the role of the scheme in helping her carry out the improvements.
“It is an excellent initiative from both Cornwall Council and Lendology. I would thoroughly recommend considering Lendology.”
She also notes that the initiative “puts improvements that will actually really benefit people within reach”
