Lending Done Differently

The Big Issue recognise CEO of Lendology on their 2024 list of Changemakers!

Written by Emma Lower, Chief Executive

We are thrilled to announce that our CEO, Emma Lower, has earned a spot on the Big Issue’s changemaker list, a fantastic achievement for both Emma and the Lendology team as a whole.

The Big Issue Changemakers List is an annual list of individuals or groups who have brought about positive change or have made a significant impact in their local communities. The list celebrates those who are working towards tackling social issues, driving change and making a difference in the world.

Emma Lower features within the “Housing and Homelessness” list, which features key figures who are addressing issues related to housing and homelessness. Since becoming the CEO of Lendology over five years ago, Emma Lower has worked tirelessly with her team to combat housing issues in local communities.

The Big Issue is a well-respected publication that focuses on promoting social and economic justice, so being recognised by them is a huge validation of the work that changemakers are doing to make a difference in the world.

Emma Lower, said: “To be recognised as a Changemaker is a complete surprise, and of course, a huge privilege. The work we do at Lendology often supports people who have ‘hidden’ problems, and our Social Impact Report highlights that people often suffer with poor housing for over 3 years before taking action. Being part of the housing solution to ensure everyone has access to warm, safe and suitable housing is the highlight of my career so far, and I know Lendology would not deliver such impressive results without a committed and passionate team”.
