At Lendology, we are proud to partner with The London Borough of Merton to provide loans to eligible homeowners, enabling them to invest in energy-efficient upgrades for their properties.
In a recent discussion held outside the Houses of Parliament in London, our CEO, Emma Lower, met with Lord Iain McNicol to delve into the impact of Merton’s groundbreaking initiative.
Emma introduced Lendology’s partnership with Merton, emphasising the importance of providing accessible finance for homeowners to reduce their carbon footprint. Lord McNicol highlighted the benefits of decarbonising homes, including cost savings on energy bills and a positive impact on the environment.
It became clear that there is a growing readiness among residents to invest in these kinds of property improvements. With approximately 70% of UK homes still relying on high carbon products for heating and hot water, there is a need for action. Education plays a vital role in this process, as many homeowners may not be aware of the benefits and opportunities available to them.
Through our partnership with Merton and other local councils, we are committed to driving innovation and promoting sustainable living practices. By offering financial support and raising awareness, we aim to accelerate the transition to a low-carbon future.
